This was a day (and a weekend) that some did not think would happen.
Some did not want me to make it this far (especially without their help).
There were some who (to this day) try to deny my ability, passion, and success because they doubt their own.
This was the first of many accomplishments where I have proven that you can reach your goals in life with the right skills, proper education, experience, and investment.
I was able to turn my fandom into professionalism and the reward for that was the honor of being invited by one of the world’s leading fan event organizers to moderate two live panels at their event on behalf of my podcast with exceptional guests that I have been a fan of for a long time.
To be given such an opportunity was not taken for granted in the slightest.
It was the first time I ever hosted a live event, and this day was a big one. A crowd of up to 200 excited fans packed that hall to see their favorite actors of a popular game series and I made sure to make a great impression on those fans in attendance and the company who trusted me to run it my way.
I knocked that sum bitch out of the park.
Turns out that I was told by ReedPOP that my panel had the second-biggest attendance of all panels of the weekend (next to Tom Holland of course).
This day was a dream come true and the first of many to come from the company as a result.
Believe it or not, there are some people to thank for this day:
1). The folks at ReedPOP for affording me the opportunity.
2). The late great Phil Donahue for the inspiration to channel my live talk show hosting skills (legit).
3). The A.C.M.G. members in attendance showing their support.
4). The TALK TIME LIVE listeners in attendance.
5). And Tom Holland (yes Spider-Man himself) who if not for his appearance at the event here in Philly those fans in attendance to my panel may not have been as lively as they were.
6). Last but not least my loving sister not only sat and watched me with her family in attendance but also took these great photos with my camera for this event and they look awesome.
I will never forget this day, and this is one of the positive things I appreciate about Facebook.
These memories are indeed worth remembering.
Thank you to the few who did look out, support, and believe in my ability to make it happen.
Sincerely yours,
Dax, Your uncelebrated success.
P.S.
Here are pictures of actors Charlet Chung and Fred Tatisciore doing the liner that you here on the TALK TIME LIVE podcast.
